Commerce City Recreation summer camps for ages 6-15

Post Date:02/15/2019 3:24 PM

Summer camps are around the corner!

At the Youth Venture Camp, kids ages 6-10 enjoy full-day camps Monday-Friday with activities ranging from astronomy to zoo exploration. Teens ages 11-15 can stay active at Adventure Trek full-day camps Mondays-Thursdays with indoor skydiving, whitewater rafting, horseback riding and more! Campers will enjoy swimming and field trips each week in a safe and friendly environment. Camps are state-licensed with a low camper-to-staff ratio.

Registration opens Feb. 18 for Commerce City residents and Feb. 20 for non-residents.

Enrollment packets are available free online at starting Feb. 18. Hard copies are available at the recreation centers for a $10 fee.

Interested parents are invited to a meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at the Eagle Pointe Recreation Center (6060 E. Parkway Dr.). Staff will be on hand to answer questions, help walk parents through the enrollment process and share a schedule of field trips and weekly themes. This meeting is not mandatory but is helpful in navigating the lengthy, state-required enrollment form.

Bring the following information and documentation to the parent assistance meeting and have a staff member walk you through the enrollment process:

  • Printout of the enrollment packet (or purchase on site for $10)
  • Photo of your child
  • Colorado immunization records signed by a doctor
  • Health history signed by a doctor
  • Completed emergency card
  • Addresses and phone numbers for a family doctor, dentist, and preferred hospital

Deadline for summer camp enrollment and a mandatory parent meeting is May 8. Space is limited! For more information, visit
