Older Adult Assistance and Services
Goodfriends Scholarship Program
Partial assistance is available for older adults needing financial help to participate in recreation programs and center membership. Confidential requests are made through staff at 303-289-3720.
Seniors can receive basic health services from an onsite nurse on the second Wednesday of each month. Services include blood pressure checks and nail and foot care for diabetics and others who need it. Services are provided by appointment only and cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to appointment. For information on available services or to schedule an appointment, call 303-289-3756.
Medicare or Medicaid Questions
Centura Health Passport Links assists older adults with Medicare and Medicaid questions every fourth Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. A benefits counselor can help with the application process or answer questions about Medicare health plans, prescription drug plans, or whether you qualify for assistance with premiums or co-payments. Share your life experiences, good and bad, in this monthly support group. Discuss topics such as the joys and pains of daily living such as aging, the loss of a loved one, financial hardship, medical diagnoses, and caregiving. The group is self led.
First & Third Mondays 10-11:30 a.m. FREE
Looking for a lift? Schedule medical and dental appointments or shop for groceries using A-Lift Transportation Services. This free service is available to residents age 60 or older, or who have a disability. Service days are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations require a three-day notice and can be made by calling the Active Adult Resource Center at 303-235-6972.
